Hubbub Local offers a streamlined platform with customizable programs to help students raise money effectively. Our key approach involves Community Captains – local residents we train to lead efforts in their area. These Captains connect with local businesses to gather exclusive deals and information, which our team then uses to create a unique Discount Club for each community. Students sell annual memberships to their local Club, offering a high-value fundraising product that saves members many times the cost of their donation, making it an appealing offer.

Our platform is highly flexible, allowing diverse groups like faith-based, school, or civic organizations to sell memberships on their own schedules during the year. We support nearly any activity, group size, or experience level with equal dedication, aiming to keep the volunteer burden very low. Our goal is to empower every student to "Earn more than ever before..." helping families manage budgets while enabling students to participate in enriching activities that foster lifelong success.

Smart Sales Tools Boost Profits

Hubbub Local enhances fundraising profits by providing students with essential sales tools and resources. These tools help students connect with friends, family, neighbors, and the wider community. A key feature is the ability to close sales remotely. While our baseline is door-to-door sales, if no one's home, students can leave a custom flyer. Potential donors can then sign up, pay, and activate their annual Club membership directly on their phone through a self-signup process. This method significantly expands the potential donor base (e.g., at church, the park, or work). We've further boosted this by providing each student with a custom social media and email link, making it even easier to reach out. Finally, our programs promote year to year continuity meaning last years success boosts this years goals... AND if even more help is needed we have plans for that too!

Fundraise Anywhere: Our Open Sales Model means that Students, and their family members, can drastically increase the opportunity to sell Discount Club memberships @Home Community(red/black circle), @Work(Parents blue circle/red square), @Grandma's(blue square), and even widely distributed areas @Church(black square).

Hubbub Local can match the structure of your Church, Park, League or Association from one team/class/activity to the full range of the activities you offer. Each sub-group gets a customized fundraiser (goal, information sheet, sales script, volunteer contact info, etc) that is branded for and operating under the direction of the Organization. We take our direction from the Executive board who sets the Goals and fundraising parameters. Our services include support for multiple activities, intensity levels, seasons, camps or special sessions.

A huge number of students participate in activities—or have interests—that don’t fit traditional fundraising models. We call this group our "Everyone Else" category, and we’ve expanded our framework and features to better support this often-overlooked class of students.

Unlike classic organizations, each student and their family set their own fundraising goals and parameters. This includes defining an Annual Budget—a single goal designed to cover a full year’s worth of fees and expenses. Here, our Community Captains play a key role, helping families create and carry out effective funding plans.

Students usually begin with our core Discount Club product, ideal for smaller budgets. As needs grow, they can activate Sales Add-Ons and supplemental programs to reach higher goals. While some larger or well-connected families can meet our standard minimum (400 Discount Club memberships sold), students with higher budgets often benefit from partnering with other independent families, crews, or even larger groups. These temporary collaborations boost productivity and profitability for everyone involved.

To support this, we offer a Matchmaking Service that connects families and encourages Affiliations within their communities—whether through a church, school, park, or neighborhood.

Students often explore a wide range of interests, and their paths can take unexpected turns. An injury might pause an athletic pursuit, a summer arts camp might spark a new passion, or a service project might awaken a lifelong commitment to leadership. Because these shifts are natural, we built flexibility into our platform.

When unexpected expenses arise, students with an “Everyone Else” or Affiliate Program, account can respond immediately using unspent funds or reserves from their activity budget to cover these new costs. If the fees are owed to a traditional organization, affiliate students can often avoid running another fundraiser by paying the "Net Fee"—the base charge plus the fundraising profit (e.g., $100 in candy sales only yields $32).

If available funds—whether for affiliate students or traditional organizations—still fall short, the local Captain can create an Extended Earnings Plan. Through Advanced Sales Add-Ons such as direct or targeted support requests, events or legacy fundraisers, students can raise additional funds. Our platform supports these efforts by promoting campaigns (in App advertising & Opt-In Program emails), processing orders, and even connecting independent students with other Affiliate participants to share these earning opportunities.
